Library Of Somnos
This building contains the largest and most comprehensive store of information about Dormia. It is an imposing five-story building made of pink marble, the same type of marble that was used to build the Six Towers surrounding the city. The basement and first floor are the vaults, with all of the most precious and sensitive archives of Dormia. These archives include, among other things, the journals (written on antelope hide) of the wandering Dormian tribe that discovered the first Founding Tree, and detailed maps of the ancient Fault Roads (or underground passageways) that once connected the eleven cities of Dormia.
The second and third floors house the library staff and the cafeteria. The fourth floor features fiction, poetry, and maps from the outside world. Unfortunately, all material from the outside world is about three hundred years out of date. Finally, the fifth floor contains the offices of the top library officials, including that of Josephus, the chief librarian and Royal Scribe of Somnos. Josephus enters his office through a long, marble corridor, called the “"Hall of the Great Sleepers".”
